a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid

*You where as brave as a lion from R.R stines goosebumps: monster blood.
*They fought like cats and dogs from R.L stines goosbumps: monster blood.
What is figurative language?
Figurative language is expressing ideas indirectly language used in a special way to create a special effect
How does using figurative language change a piece of writing?
*Figurative language changes writing by making the writing more vivid
What is the importance of using figurative language in writing or advertising?
It is important because it gives people a nice sense of imagery when they are reading something. Also, it can be intriguing to the reader.
