Transcript of Kristallnacht ( "Night Of Crystal " - " Night of The Broken Glass" )
( The Night Of Crystal) Thesis Statement The Night of The Broken Glass was a very terrible night for the Jewish businesses owners and the Jewish worshipers. It caused an outrage for the Western Europe and the United States Of America. Its was the peak into the Holocaust. Many children, parents, grandparents, brothers, and sisters died because of the Kristallnacht.
What Caused The KristallNacht To Happen? On November 7th 1938
17 year old Polish Jewish Student Hershel Gryszpen, shot Ernst von Rath in Paris, France . He was the 3Rd Secretary of the German Embassy.
Later that night at a Dinner in Munich, Germany a Propaganda Minster Joseph Goebbels delivered a seditious speech, urging the assembled crowd to take to the street.
The messaged that he sent was : The Jews of Germany must pay for von Rath’s death . The Order Reinhard Heydrich ( The head of German Security Service) sent an order to all state police officers, that all businesses and homes of Jews could be destroyed but not stolen from them. German life and property should not be jepordized in any way. He also ordered that all the officers should arrest as many Jews that the local jails can hold. Novemeber 8, 1938 The next day Goeblls announced " we shed not a tear for them[Jews]" He made another commentof the destructions of the Synagogues . He said and i quote " The stood in the way long enough . we can use the space mae free more usefully than Jewish Fortresses". When Did The Kristallnacht Happen and What Did It Do? November 9 1938 The Night of Crystal destroyed 7,000 jewish businesses, and more than 900 synagogues. The destruction killed 91 Jews and sent 30,000 Jewish men to concentration camps. Hitler's Involvment It provived the Nazis for total annihilation of the Jewish for the German public life. Adolf Hitler was in charge since 1933 , so within a week the Nazis worte a letter saying Jewish businesses cannot reopen unless the manager was a Non- Jew.
Soon enough jewish children were not allowed to atten school with Hitler in charge. Economy Economy The World's View Of The Kristallnacht The Night Of The Broken Glass outraged Western Europe and the United States . At a press conference on November 15th, President Roosevelt said, "The news of the past few days from Germany has deeply shocked public opinion in the United States ... I myself could scarcely believe that such things could occur in a 20th century civilization."
The president also instructed that the 12,000-15,000 vistiors already in the U.S. on temporary visitor visas could remain in the country Bibliography Special Thanks To "The American Expericance. America. And The Holocaust.

That night was the starting point of the Holocaust. It destroyed places for Jewish people to worship, their homes, and the way they make their moeny. I think that what happened on November 9th 1938 was a very terrifying experiance. It killed 91 Jewish mothers, children, father, and grandparents. I wouldve been very fearlful and god bless the people that died. Google Images The Nazis blamed the Jews from German Economic Life.
