Transcript of The Awesome Life of Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesomeness #1
During the winter the two cubs are born. They drink their mom's milk until they get older. Otherwise they eat berries, roots, fish, and sometimes other bears. Bears bury the food they don't eat. They always remember where it is.
The cubs need to pay attention to their mom. They copy her until they know what to do. The small cubs can be eaten by other bears. The mother must protect them.
As they grow up, the cubs learn more and more. They only have to stay with their mom a few years. They will soon hibernate so they eat equal to 84 hamburgers per. day in fall. They sleep 6 MONTHS without waking up! The mother bear is able to sense danger and when she does, she grunts to warn her cubs.
When the cubs are not eating, they are playing. They learn to fight by wrestling with each other.

Facts for Fun
the book bear cubs is about two bear cubs who are born in a den in the winter and how they learn to survive in the mountains.
Did you know that bears can grow up to 9 FEET TALL AND WEIGH 700 POUNDS?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? They are the tallest animals in North America!
Bears mostly live alone unless they have offspring. If a cub doesn't have a mom, another bear can adopt it!
I had fun learning about bears and hope they don't become extinct.
