About the diary
The diary was wrote while her family was hiding for 2 years and 1 month during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands
During the nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Anne Frank got the diary as one of her birthday present when she turned 13.
The diary has been written in over 60 different languages
She had started to write in it 2 days after she got it and 22 days before going into hiding with her mother Edith, father Otto, and older sister Margot, and another family Herrman van Pels, his wife Auguste, and his teenager son Peter.
The family was apprehended in 1944.
Where did they hide ???????
They hid in the sealed-off upper rooms of the annex of her father's office building in Amsterdam.

The rooms where concealed behind a hidden bookshelf.


How did Anne Frank die ????
Anne Frank died ultimately of Typhus a disease spread by lice or fleas. She died in the Bergan- Belson concentration camp in early march when she was only 15 years old, about 2 weeks before the prisoners were liberated by british troops in April 1995.
The diary was retrieved by Miep Gies, who gave it to Anne's father Otto Farank the only survivor of the family and the 8 people.
