The Last Voyage of the Ghost Ship
By Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Style of Writing
Stream of Consciousness
a type of narrative technique that portrays an individuals point of view by giving the written equivalent of the character's thought process. Either as a loose internal monologue, or in connection to his or her actions.
The story explains how a young boy is able to deepen his understanding of observations and grows into an assertive young man.
At the beginning of the story the narrator is already a young man. He begins telling the story through a flashback after he says, " Now they're going to see who I am"
What would you do to make people believe you?

What would your reaction be if you were one of the villagers?
The story begins with the young man reflecting on his life and when he first sees the ship.
At the beginning of the story
the young man has seen the
ship three times.
1st- He thought he was dreaming.

2nd- He tells his mother, who believes that her son is going insane.
