Transcript of Hunger Games Theater 1-2 Per.3

Plot "From the treaty of the treason: in penance for their uprising, each district shall offer up a male and a female between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public 'reaping'. Theses tributes shall be delivered to the custody of the capitol and then transferred to the public arena where they will fight to the death until a lone victor remains. Henceforth and forever more this pageant shall be forever known as The Hunger Games."
Katniss Everdeen is the female tribute from district 12. Peeta Mellark has been chosen as the male tribute from district 12.
The Capitol takes all of the tributes from the 12 different districts and preps and pretties them to show off to the rest of the world.
Katniss and Peeta have Haymitch Abernathy as their mentor to help give them direction and advise that will help them win The Games.
Katniss and Peeta split up and are on their own from now on. Alina Wagner,
Trent Smyer The Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist in the story. She has a poor family and has no father to support her family. She is a strong girl that steps up when her father died. She takes care of her little sister and her mom by illegally hunting outside of the district and trading her prey in at the hob for food for her family. She is a superb hunter, because she learned from her father when he was still alive. She was very closed off to the rest of the world besides her little sister and Gale. She does not have a good relationship with her mother, because she doesn't trust her. She is very overprotective over her sister, and she is would die for her little sister. She likes Peeta but she also likes Gale. she doesn't know how to make people like her because she thinks she is unlikable. Katniss Everdeen I think Katniss has put up a wall so high that no one can get over it and get to know her. She is very caring towards the people that she knows and loves. I think she should stop being so tough and try and be a sweet soft girl for once.i think it was a good thing that she helped her family by hurting and selling game in the Hub , but she can't blame her mom for being depressed after her husband died in a traumatic event Katniss's Critique He is middle-class boy who is the town's baker's son.He is good at getting people to like him, he's really really good at it. He has a crush on Katniss and the Capitol portrays them as "the star stuck lovers". He is also very strong. He is very good at doing camouflage in nature like being hidden as rocks in the games In my opinion the plot was a little weak. There was so much more that the makers of The Hunger Games could've done with how rich the plot was in the book. As someone who has read "The Hunger Games" book I was very disappointed when I watched this movie because the plot was lacking so much. Now if you are someone who hasn't read the books yet I believe that to you the strength of the plot wouldn't matter as much because if you already have an idea of what the plot is then you have expectations and you are being let down when the plot does not meet these expectations. Plot Critique Peeta Mellark I think that peeta is a strong character because he is a great person and he a good plan in the movie. He has great skill like camouflaging himself in nature, and he is really strong, too. I think that everyone liking him helped him in the arena. Peeta Mellark Critique Rue helped Katniss to evade the Careers who were hunting her. Katniss teamed up with Rue and they destroyed the Career's food and supplies. Rue dies.
Sinnika, the master of The Games, announces that 2 tributes can win as long as they are from the same district.
Katniss seeks him and finds Peeta. He is badly wounded, with major cuts and burns. Katniss and Peeta find a cave and they camp in that.
Haymitch gets a sponsor to send some soup for Peeta. And they get supplies to help Peeta's wounds.
Once Peeta is healed they hunt down Kato and Foxface. Foxface dies. The Capitol releases these beasts that hunt Kato, Peeta, and Katniss.
Does Katniss and Peeta survive? Do they win The Games? Watch the movie and find out. Haymitch is a mentor to Peeta and Katniss for the Hunger Games. He has won the Hunger Games before and he has been a drunk ever since. He is the most recent winner from district 12 and he won the 50th Hunger Games. I believe that he drinks himself so he doesn't have to have the memory of the Games in his life while he is drunk. Haymitch Abernathy I don't understand why haymitch has to be so rude to Peeta and Katniss. He can't even stay sober for a day to help them out to stay alive and win. He is one of the most self-centered characters in the movie. Haymitch's Critique Diction i think these accents work well in the movie because i see the people from the 12 districts as solid, cold americans, but i see the people from the capitol as proper british people who use money and their family's power to have a spot in the capitol. Diction Critique In this movie, there are two main diction, one is a proper, faint british accent that comes from Effie, the president, and the rest of the capitol, and there is a "regular" american accent from the all the districts. Katniss- she showed how she is powerful and that no one could hurt herself, her friends, an her family.

Peeta- he showed that he could use that popularity vote and to play off the lovers bit even more in the arena.

Haymitch- he showed that he isn't just a drunk, but he mentored and help coach the first dual victors in history. Thought Katniss- i think she did a great job on showing her self through her actions.

Peeta- I think he should of been more in love with Katniss, then trying to be popular, but he did do a good job on him shining his personality through his actions.

Haymitch- I think he did a great job showing his thoughts through his actions. Thought Critique Melody The melody or pacing of the movie was very fast. It went from one main event to the next in a very short amount of time. The melody was too fast for its own good. Melody Critique The first time I saw The Hunger Games I had gone over to Trent's house and we watched it together on his awesome 67" Tv. We had some yummy food from his mom and we were chillin on his sofa. I enjoyed the experience of watching the movie and the food and everything but I didn't enjoy the movie like I thought I would because I was disappointed with the lack of plot. Spectacle I believe that the experience of going to Trent's house and watching the movie did help the movie a little bit, because if I had just watched the movie all alone at my home I would've gotten pissed at the movie instead of just getting annoyed with it. Spectacle Critique The End!!!! In my opinion the melody needed to slow down and chill out a little bit because you almost couldn't keep up with the chain of events. The melody needed to be more spaced out so that you could compute all the information involved in the movie.
