-In some countries like Sierra Leone 90% of women have gone through FGM
-It is done for cultrual or "religious"
-Sex trafficking is human trafficking with the intent to force prostitution
-In Brazil most of the people forced into this practice are women and children
-This exists all over the world; in Europe, the UK, Asia and even in the US
- 300,000 children are at risk of being prostituted in the United States
-The average victim may be forced to have sex up to 20-48 times a day.
-The act of whistling, shouting or commenting at a women in a sexual nature
-Many men believe they are just paying a compliment, but in reality cat calling is a form of harassment
-99% of women have been a victim of street harassment
-87% have been a target of a sexist comment
-82% have been a victim of a vulgar gesture
-81% of female respondents were the target of sexually explicit comments
-75% of female respondents have been followed by an unknown stranger in public
-57% of women reported being touched or grabbed in a sexual way by a stranger in public.
-Street harassment limits people's mobility and access to public spaces. It is a form of gender violence and it's a human rights violation.
-Rape is a prominent crime against women and has been an issue for centuries
-More than 250,000 women report rape annually
-In one study, 33% of men around the world agreed with the assertion that "some women deserve rape"
-66% agreed that "the physical appearance and behaviors of women tempt men to rape"
-Rape deeply affects women physically as well as mentally
-Its considered the most under-reported violent crime due to the "shame and responsibility" stigma felt
-The US has the highest rape crime: with 1 in 6 women being victims

-Although there are many controversies of the role of women in the Catholic Church
-Many Catholics think that women deserve to be ordained as priests
-Others think that the role should be exclusive to men because of tradition

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to enquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

-As a citizen of the world, I believe that all women around the world should have the same rights
-The majority of women have been a victim of sexism or will be a victim at some point in their life
-Every gender should be able to feel safe and not victimized in daily life
