Social media is the collective of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration. Websites and applications dedicated to forums, microblogging, social networking, social bookmarking, social curation, and wikis are among the different types of social media.

Mostly A’s: You still have hope. With some conscious effort you can stop yourself from getting addicted to social media. You are pretty tech-savvy and like to be aware of what’s happening. Although you are pretty detached from the real people around you, there is still room for improvement. So take the hint, now’s your chance
Mostly B’s: You are pretty much an ideal person. You use social networking as a tool, to have a better life, and not make it a mode of life itself. So if you are not caught up in the whole web of networking and still prefer talking to a person face-to-face rather than just pinging them, kudos to you!
Mostly C’s: No rewards for guessing, you are addicted to social networking! Instead of socialising with real people, you much rather escape into your own little simulated world of fantasy. You are most probably ignoring the friend sitting right next to you. The fear of missing out has so strong a hold on you, that your social networking account controls you rather than you controlling it. If you want to free yourself of this addiction, start with a small step: ration your social networking time to 2 hours a day only.

Social Media-mediated communication provides individuals with easier and faster ways of communication. However, it has negative effects on physical and mental health. Therefore, the use of social media should be regulated.
