Dragons
Story 1
St. George and the Dragon
This story comes from Norway. A king left his daughter in the castle while he went away on a long trip. He left her a small dragon to be her guardian. The princess was skeptical of the tiny creatures, fearing that it couldn't protect her. However, the dragon soon grew very large and fearsome. He soon became too good of a guardian for the princess when he grew large enough to wrap his body all around the castle and not let anyone enter or exit of it. When the king returned home, he was not allowed in the castle. The only thing to do was to kill this dragon, so the king offered that someone can marry his daughter but he has to kill the dragon. No man in Norway was capable, but a man that lived in Sweden finally killed the beast. As his reward he married the princess and they returned to Sweden together.

What Are Dragons?
Dragons are mystical creatures from parts of Asia and Europe that come in many shapes. But most have scales a tongue like a snake and triangle eyes, wing kind of like a bat, four strong powerful legs, thick skin. They usually breathed fire but some breathed ice or water or other stuff. Most dragons are considered lizards because of their similarities with them.
The Origin of Dragons
No body know how dragons originated. Some people say that belief in dragons probably evolved independently in both Europe and China, and perhaps in the Americas and Australia as well. Many people have speculated about which real-life animals inspired the first legends.

Here you will read about stories/series that include dragons and tales about dragons.
Story 2
Daniel was said to kill a dragon in the apocryphal chapters of the Bible. King Cyrus challenged Daniel’s refusal to worship the idol Bel. Daniel revealed to the king a conspiracy on the part of the priests to eat food offered to Bel, pretending like the god seemed real. Not only were the deceptive priests killed, but Daniel was allowed to destroy their idol and a dragon that was being worshiped. In the brief narrative of the dragon (14:23-30), Daniel killed the dragon by baking pitch, fat, and hair to make cakes that cause the dragon to burst open upon consumption.

Are Dragons Evil or Good?
Dragons were originally bad and a villain but people are changing the dragon's role to being companions and heroes. But some people still think they should be villainous and bad.
Evil and Good
there are two different types of dragon:
the dragon of the Western world and the dragon of the Eastern world. Here you can learn about them.
Different Dragons
Western
Eastern
Western Dragons
Western dragons are a very large, fire-breathing serpents have scaly green bodies and huge red wings. They are greedy creatures, they hoard gold treasure in dens under the earth. Fierce and always hungry, a Western dragon eats everything but especially likes weak, young, human flesh. Dragons live in caves, mountains, or lakes. They were particularly active in the Middle Ages, when brave knights challenged them to battle.
Eastern Dragons
Compared to Western dragons, eastern dragons are smaller. Their bodies are long, and they have two horns for ears. They don't have wings, and their soft breath is said to form clouds. They don't roar; instead they make the sounds of beating gongs and jingling bells. Chinese dragons dine on sparrows. They live wherever there is water. They are kind and wise friends of human beings.
