Care for others
Tell yourself you can do this. Sometime in your life, you've been told treat others the way that you want to be treated. You can't expect others to act the way you want them to, if you treat them wrong. It's a common sense factor. No respect will affect your life. Your self- esteem, your skills, your success, etc. The people you pass by every day, whether they're strangers, friends, or family members. You don't know their story, or what's going on in their lives. Treating them without respect will affect their success, self esteem, who they are, who they want to become, their skills and talents, etc. I know it's hard to show respect to our parents, teachers, and elders because sometimes they think we are just kids who think they know everything, or they don't give us the time of day because they think that they know it all. Well, truth is, if we treated our elders with respect, we wouldn't have that problem. We would prove them wrong and gain their respect by our actions. Through all your stages in life, having and giving respect will benefit you. Through school, through any jobs you have or are trying to get, through friends and family. I'm not saying that respect is the "magic answer" to everything because sometimes doing the respectful thing will not always be the thing that makes you happy, but in the long run it helps you to become the best person you can be. Through life. Amber Gray It can also mean to listen when someone speaks, give them the time of day, to be polite, to humble yourself, don't put yourself first. respect can be many things. It isn't always easy though to give it. In order to get respect however, you have to give it. God made you an irrevocably unique individual. Your life has a purpose! So, do something great with it. Become the best you can be. It will all be worth it if you just learn to have some Self Respect! Respect
For
Others Respect your parents and elders! They went to high school without all the advanced technology that we have today to help us learn. It was harder for them than we think. “Responsibility to yourself means refusing to let others do your thinking, talking, and naming for you; it means learning to respect and use your own brains and instincts; hence, grappling with hard work." -Adrienne Rich-
