What Does Cinco De Mayo mean? Cinco De Mayo means, The 5th of May. Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican Holiday celebrating the Battle of Puebla, in which the Mexican forces defeated France, which was a huge victory considering France had a much stronger army, with better weapons Cinco De Mayo is often celebrated with parades,festivals,and dancing. It is sometimes referred to as "Mexican St. Patrick Day More people celebrate Cinco De Mayo in the US than in Mexico! Cinco De Mayo is one of 365 holidays celebrated by Mexican People!
