Comparison between the Outbreak of War in Europe and the Asia-Pacific
- In both contexts, the League of Nations were unable to prevent the Abyssinian Crisis or the Manchurian Crisis, emboldening both Germany and Japan
- Invasion of Manchuria:
- The failure of disarmament created an atmosphere of distrust and tension in Europe.
- Abyssinian Crisis: The League's failure signalled the end of the League and made Mussolini and Hitler even bolder in their ambitions.
