Human authorities expose distrust in God.
What are some ways people don't submit to:
- The Government

- Parents

- Elders

- Employers
What feels good or right when you don't obey?
The lie we believe is that my rebellion is good for me and them.


The truth we need is that my submission points to faith in Christ whom we both need.
The Nature of Hard Authorities
How does disobedience and rebellion seek to change our authorities?
God is at work behind the scenes
Why doesn’t the truth that God is in control of our authorities not give us comfort and courage?
God at work in us for us and them
The lie we believe is that my rebellion is good for me and them.
