The Great Escape
On June 11th 1962, Frank Morris, Clarence Anglin, and John Anglin tried to escape from Alcatraz. They dug holes in their walls with spoons, and so they wouldn't get caught, they made fake heads out of soap. After crawling through the holes they dug and exiting the building, they got onto a life raft they made out of rain coats.

Even to this day, no one knows if they really did survive the icy waters or not.
