Transcript of The Cell as a School

Cell Wall Golgi Apparatus Cell Membrane Mitochondria Lysosome Nuclues The Cell Wall can only be found in plants. Gives the cell protection to the cell membrane and the cell in general, protects from being shapeless, from getting viruses. The Cell Wall performs the same function as a door. Golgi Apparatus can be found in both plants and animals. It controls export/import of protein/lipids etc.Something that performs the same function is a mailroom. The Cell as a School!!! The Cell Membrane is found both in
plants and animals. The Cell Mem-
brane protects the inner part of the
cell. Something that can perform
the same function would be the bark
of a tree. The Mitochondria can be found in both plants and animals. Provides the cell with energy by oxidizing biological fuel such as lipids, proteins, and glucose into ATP. It preforms the same function as an energy plant. The Lysosome can be found in
both plants and animals. It
protects the cell from outside
invaders. Something that can
perform the same function would
be water. BY: Rosalind A. Forest
Danielle A. Lewis
Aamen A. Sabeel The Nucleus can be found in both plants and animals. Contains much of DNA of the activity of cell. Something that performs the same function is an office. Cytoplasm The Cytoplasm can be found in both plants and animals. The Cytoplasm maintains the cell's shape.Something that performs the same function is water. Chloroplast Chloroplast is found only in
plants. It converts carbon dioxide, water and sunlight into glucose and spare oxygen, protects the granules from hitting each other Chloroplast performs the same function as a painter. Vacuole Vacuole can be found in plants. It is a membrane-bound, in systems that perform certain storage and removal functions within the Eukaryotic cells.Something that performs the same function is Mitochandria or cell wall. Ribosome Ribosomes can be found in both plants and animals .It produces proteins from amino acids and all three forms of RNA in a process called translation.Something that performs the same function is cell/plant. Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum The Rough Reticulum is found both in
plants and animals. The Rough ER synthesizes proteins. It performs the same function as The Smooth ER. Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum can found in both plants and animals. The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum allows increased surface area for the action or storage of key enzymes and the products of these enzymes. A similar place would be FINISH LAST SENTENCE Cytoskeleton The Cytoskeleton can be found in both plants and animals. Its main
function is to help maintain cell shape. something that preforms the same function as Cytoskeleton would
