A violin string is 30 cm long. It sounds a 440 Hz when played with no fingers. how far from the end of the string should you place your finger to play a 523 Hz note?
Say this violin was placed over a tube that is open only at one end. If the 523 Hz note resonates with the 2 overtone of the tube, how long is this tube?
