2,000,000 married couples are infertile
(American Pregnancy Association 2000-2011). Every year in The United States... The intended family will find an attorney to help the surrogate mother and intended family situate the finances. Surrogate mothers are usually paid ranging from $10,000-$20,000. (Swan, 2007). How does Surrogacy Work? Any questions ? Now that we have a better understanding of surrogacy... Thank you for your time <3 Interview Of Jennifer Scott At 26 years of age, Scott served as a first time surrogate mother for Mark and Clare Judd.
Scott states “All the way through the labor I was saying, 'I'm definitely going to do this again'”.
Scott exclaims "It was the best feeling in the world to be able to give that gift,".
Scott didn’t charge Clare and Mark Judd for carrying their child for them.
"A picture in my head that will never leave me was when we left the hospital – they were in their own car behind ours. I looked into the rearview mirror and saw them look at each other, sharing this moment of sheer exhilaration. Incredible". (Wyllie, 2010). Interview of Zara Griswold Zara Griswold was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was 23 years old.
She was happy that her prognosis was good, but soon became depressed of the inability to conceive a child.
Griswold is the author of "Surrogacy Was the Way", which “will give [the readers] a realistic viewpoint into what it is like to be an intended mother". (Watson, 2006). There are two types of surrogacy Gestational Traditional Concerns

Mary Beth Whitehead had entered a “surrogacy” contract, stating to carry and labor a child, to Mr. William Stern.
William Stern desperatley wanted a child because he was the last male in his patriarchal line.
Ms. Whitehead “realized she had made a mistake and be unable to give Sara”, the daughter of Mr. Stern.
Mr. Stern took her to court due to the contract she entered. , The judge declared that Sara belonged to her biological father, Mr. Stern. (Faulkner, 1989). Solution If you are interested in surrogacy GET EDUCATED!!
My solution “protects the gestational surrogate and enhances her autonomy”.
Due to the "educational vulnerability" women tend to regret thier decision.
I believe all surrogate mothers should attend a couple of classes that inform them of the entire process.
Even consider proposing a law to a political leader asking for the further education of surrogacy. (Damelio, 2008). Gestational Traditional What will we talk about today? The types of surrogacy.
The legal process of surrogacy.
Concerns involving surrogacy.
A solution to the concerns.
