After attending University of Texas and Villanova Univesity - I have worked in every major theatre city as an actor or director.
Director
Director- I am the educational director of Revolution Shakespeare here in Philadelphia and the co- Artistic Director of Iris Theatre Company. Iris is dedicated to producing new work at various locations across the globe all while documenting our process online - allowing our audiences to travel with us.

Greek Tragedy
Greek Theatre
the birth of the unhappy ending.
Greek Theatre gave us the tragic hero. A hero with a tragic flaw: Achilles heel or Oedipis and his hubris (pride). Greek Theatre also bestowed the Deus Ex Machina or God Machine. This convention would allow the tragic protagonist to escape on a chariot to the gods. (One of my favorite theatrical devices.
Famous Greek Playwrites
Aeschylus:
Established the basic rules of tragic drama. He is credited with inventing the trilogy, and introducing the second actor (, making the dramatization of a conflict possible.
Sophocles
Introduced a third actor, increased the number of chorus members to fifteen, broke the rule of having to present a trilogy, making the production of independent dramas possible.
Euripides
The hero described in his tragedies is no longer bound by fate, but a person capable of making their own choices with our without the help of the Gods.
Used female protagonists of the plays who often questioned traditional values

I have always wanted to be a teacher and have had the fortune to teach at many Universities and Schools through the National Endowment for the Arts.
Instructor
The theatre of Ancient Greece flourished between 550 BC and 220 BC. A festival honouring the god Dionysus was held in Athens, out of which three dramatic genres emerged: tragedy, comedy and the satyr play.
Western theatre has its roots in the theatre of Ancient Greece and the plays that originated there.
