Design Choices
Modal Choices
Hesiod's Theogony
AKA: The creation story in Greek Mythology as told through Tweets
Rhetorical
Choices
Emphasis
I have emphasis on each Tweet within the Prezi. They are the main focal point
Contrast
The Tweets are a lighter color against a much darker background.
Genre
To me, the genre is fiction. The Ancient Greeks and some people today would disagree.
Purpose
The purpose is to make this story more accessible and fun to read.
Audience
The audience would be people interested in Greek Mythology and Twitter.
Context
The ancient story has been told in a modern way, but still in the original time period.
Organization
They are organized so that the story line is easy to follow and it flows
Proximity
Each set of tweets has enough space between them to make sense and not be confusing.
Linguistic
: Words in the Tweets
Visual
: You can see the tweets and the pictures for each account
Aural
: Sounds of the keys clicking as you move through the presentation
Spatial
: The circles are arranged so that the story flows
Gestural
: You move through the slides
Affordances
Prezi is very user friendly and easy to work with. The Tweet generator I used seemed to be the easiest of all the choices.
Constraints
Prezi can sometimes be difficult to get things alligned the way you want it. The Tweets had to be completely redone if you wanted to change something.
The Theogony is very large. It's difficult to pick what parts to choose and what gods to include.
