What is Teen Activism?
Women Discrimination

Youth activism (teen activism) is youth engagement in community organizing for social change.
All three of these girls are part
of a non-profit orgainization called
Get Lit.
They use the power of literature (Poetry) to get their mesasge across.
One of their poems is called, "Somewhere in America" They speak about the things missing from our text books.

Zariya (middle): 15
Rhiannon (left): 16
Malala is 17 years old.
At a young age Malala started
blogging for BBC under a different
name.
At 15 she was shot by the Taliban for supporting women's rights on her way to school.
Where Malala lived in Afgainistan women were not allowed to go to school.
Mo'ne Davis
Mo'ne Davis is
13 years old.
She has teamed up
with the, Like a Girl Campain.
She has inspired many girls to keep trying even if someone tells you, "You throw like a girl."
Mo'ne plays on an
all boys team and
frankly she's one of
the best on the team
