Buenos Aires, Argentina

Alvear Palace is considered one of the premier five star hotels in the world and is uniquely set in what is commonly referred to as "the Paris of the South."

4 days of workshops offering 5-6 classes each day with a focus on Argentine Tango, American Rhythm, and International Latin.

We don’t expect everybody to take every single class everyday but we want to make sure we offer as much as possible to allow for people to take as many or as little as they wish.

Alvear Palace is located in an area of extensive parks, wide avenues, and luxurious architecture in a classical style, where the best restaurants, cafes, antique shops and boutiques of Buenos Aires, are to be found. Some of the main museums and cultural centers are close by, and the financial area is only five minutes away. It is also very close to the famous La Recoleta Mausoleum where Eva Peron (Evita) is resting as well as many other artistic & political icons of the Argentine culture.
Tony Dovolani
Dovolani began dancing in his native Eastern Europe at the age of three, then, as an adolescent, immigrated to the United States with his family. Years of rigorous training qualified Dovolani as one of the world's preeminent ballroom dancers; he quickly netted the titles of undefeated U.S. Professional Rhythm Champion and undefeated World Professional Rhythm Champion.

Dovolani joined Dancing With The Stars in its second season and in 2006 was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding choreography and won the coveted Mirror Ball in Season 15. He will continue to impress the judges in season 21, making him the longest running pro on the show.
Karina Smirnoff
Karina started competing in ballroom dancing competitions at the age of 11. She is a five-time U.S. National Champion, World Trophy Champion, and Asian Open Champion. She has won the title at the UK Open, is a three-time champion at the US Open, two-time champion at the Asian Open, five-time champion at the Dutch Open, and five-time US National Professional Champion. She has taken second at the British Open Blackpool Dance.
Karina Smirnoff has made her mark for the past ten years as one of the featured dancers on ABC’s hit reality series Dancing with the Stars and was the Mirror Ball Champion in season 13 with her partner JR Martinez and she will continue to captivate audiences on season 21 this Fall
Louis Van Amstel
From the age of 15, Van Amstel was traveling abroad representing his country, the Netherlands, in major dance competitions in both Ballroom and Latin. He is a Twelve-time dance champion,
Emmy-nominated choreographer, three time world Latin Dance championship gold medalist.

Van Amstel was on six seasons on So You Think you can dance but may be best known for his eight stunning turns on the hit ABC show "Dancing with the Stars. He has also produced an amazingly fun cardio workout called LaBlast which focuses on ballroom dancing but it completely partner free and also launched a successful fitness apparel line LVA by Louis Van Amstel.
Chelsie Hightower
Born Chelsie Kay Hightower in Las Vegas, Nevada, and raised in Orem, Utah. Hightower has trained in all styles of dance and won her first national title in when she was just 11 years old.
At 18 she made her television debut on ‘So you Think You Can Dance’ and quickly became a fan favorite and still returns as an all-star and choreographer.
Hightower joined the cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ when she was 19 and dazzled audiences for 8 seasons. She received an Emmy nomination for the "Paso Doble/Malagueña" dance that she and Derek Hough performed and co-choreographed.
She will be coming out with a ballroom dancewear line this fall.
Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo
Miriam is Famous as the iconic image of The Broadway-London hit “Forever Tango”. Leonardo was part of the cast of “Forever Tango” and danced at the most famous Tango shows in Buenos Aires. Miriam & Leonardo are considered at the moment one of the top Tango Couple in the world. They are also the main tango choreographers for Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."
Sandor and Parissa
Sandor & Parissa are internationally acclaimed performers, choreographers, and highly distinguished instructors. Sandor, originally from Buenos Aires Argentina, is a Tango Master for nearly three decades. He was a principal dancer in the Broadway/London hit show Forever Tango, nominated for the Tony Award “Best Choreography”. Parissa has coached several celebrities, including Antonio Banderas for the movie Take the Lead. Sandor & Parissa have been featured performing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and they have choreographed many of the Argentine Tangos on the show. Sandor & Parissa are based in Los Angeles CA, and they teach all levels from beginners to professionals.
