NSA snoopers
What?
Spying?
Who?
NSA Won't Say If It Is "Spying" on Congress

Senator Bernie Sanders, Independent, Vermont
National Security Agency (NSA)
• Sen. Bernie Sanders wrote a letter to the NSA
• The letter asked if the NSA was spying on the Congress
• The NSA never answered his real question

What the Senator Thinks
• Sen. Sanders thinks the NSA is being unlawful
• Defines spying as:
listening to work and personal phone calls
reviewing websites visited
reading emails

What the NSA Thinks
NSA’s authority to collect intelligence data includes procedures that protect the privacy of U.S persons
Members of Congress have the same privacy protections as all U.S persons
We will continue to ensure that all Members of Congress, including Senator Bernie Sanders, have information about NSA’s mission, authorities, and programs to fully inform the discharge of their duties
Does This Issue Affect Us?
I think this could have an impact on many people
People could start to wonder if their privacy is in jeopardy
Congress may fight against he NSA and make it harder for them to do their job allowing terrorist to communicate and unite
There would be more crimes and attacks
The NSA should work out their difference with Congress, so both groups can perform their duties to the best of their ability
