most Physicians/GPs EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM The “Diploma Program In Common Cardiovascular Disorders” is an academically rigorous training program for GPs which has been designed under the guidance of Boston University School of Medicine.
It aims to improve their clinical skills related to cardiology and prepare them to function as highly competent clinicians when encountering common CVD. During the training program, the course director (a reputed teaching faculty from Department of Cardiology, Boston University School of Medicine) will inculcate the art of identifying, diagnosing and managing confidently the following common CVD Hypertension
Cardiovascular challenges and risk in diabetes
Atrial fibrillation TARGET PARTICIPANTS General Physicians PROGRAM DURATION 8 Months PROGRAM CURRICULUM The program will start with a short LBL (Leave Behind Leaflet) being sent to the intended course participants.
The LBL will familiarize the participants with the program overview, its objectives and method of participating in the program.
The total program will constitute 2 booklets (each around 40-60 pages) followed by two webinars.
Each webinar will follow a month after the course booklet is dispatched to the participants. Booklet 1 Hypertension and Heart failure The final 10-12 pages in this booklet will have treatment algorithms on the above two disorders, sample case studies and brain storming questions which will test the participants knowledge and clinical skills in hypertension and heart failure.
This booklet will be followed, about a month later by a webinar which will have a 45 minute presentation by the course director and a short interaction session between the participants and the course director wherein the queries of the participants can be answered by him/her. BOOKLET 2 Cardiovascular challenges and risk in diabetes and Atrial fibrillation The final 10-12 pages in this booklet will have treatment algorithms on the above two disorders, sample case studies and brain storming questions which will test the participants knowledge and clinical skills in cardiovascular disorders in diabetes and atrial fibrillation.
This booklet will be followed about a month later by a webinar which will have a 45 minute presentation by the course director and a short interaction session between the participants and the course director wherein the queries of the participants can be answered by him/her. PROGRAM CURRICULUM Summary booklet will follow the two course booklets and two webinars. A final online questionnaire of the course will be hosted on www.CMEQuest.com and will require the participants to complete the questions and send them. Those who obtain a score of 70% or better will be eligible to a certificate of the diploma program from Boston University.
