Changing the App for Differentiation
Go to the SETTINGS on the Apps
Look at appropriate Apps for each student
Touch an app on the screen and hold
2. It will begin to wiggle and show an “x” on the top left
Let go of the app. All apps will be wiggling
Place one app on top of a similar app
Touch bar to name folder
To move apps to a different page place app on Dashboard ABC
To stop the wiggles touch the “Home” butt

$4.99, Add photos, videos, and sounds to create a movie or movie tailor. I plan on having some of my students create a tailor for their chapter book that they are writing.

It is a multi-sensory learning tool, and provides multi-language support - since you can edit existing items and add new items for students to use bilingually. $2.99 each, The Starfall ABC app show alphabet letters, sounds and words using songs, images, animation and activities. The Learn to Read app is for beginning readers to interactively use phonetic knowledge to read.
$0.99, compares opposites images. As other grasshopper apps, the app is adjustable with visuals, phrases, words, audio, etc.
Free for limited time, The opposites for older grades students read and selects vocabulary words that are the opposites. Players can learn the words before they play or begin the game through trial and error. Level begins easy with pairs but advances to more technical language.
Currently, Free! Great app with various flash cards and lessons. Teachers can add their own images to the bitsboard.
iPads are a great way to connect to the students and expand learning (Fuson, 2006).

Learn English with Lingo Arcade
Currently, free! Very similar to Rosetta Stone. Goes up to 172 levels of English proficiency. First, students review vocabulary then the students participate in various activities. Students must achieve a certain score before going to the next level or activity. Duolingo you must have a username/password.
