chocolate started out in Latin America, where cocoa trees are grown in the wild!
the first people to actually try chocolate were probably lived in Olmec of what is known today as southeast Mexico.
Cocoa trees are more than 100 million years old and can only live in hot, rainy places near The Equator.
Cocoa's also grow on the trunk of the trees not on the branches.
