Humans Are Brutal
By: William Blair
Example #1
"Two weeks to change the world, 14 days to destroy it!"
Explanation: This was a quote Death said during the war. He was explaining that in this little time period humans have the ability to destroy something as great as the earth beneath them! That people would be willing to win a battle, even if it meant destroying the world as we know it! This shows how brutal humans can be. We still even do this today.
Example #2
"And they would all smile at the beauty of destruction."
Explanation: This, in my opinion, started after the war. Even though everything is destroyed, people still had the audacity to stand back and think they did something good. While everything burned down around them. They think its an accomplishment. When it was really Hell on earth.
Example #3
"The Germans in basements were pitiable, surely, but at least they had a chance. That basement was not a washroom. They were not sent there for a shower. For those people, life was still achievable.''

Explanation: During WWII, humans were so brutal. There was an event known as the Holocaust where Jews were slowly killed because of what one man said. Hitler is responsible for the death of thousands. In this quote, it depicts one of the ways Jews were killed. They were put in a large shower room and while they undressed, the Nazi's filled the room with deadly gas. They would leave them in there until they all died! This also shows how people can be horribly brutal!
Real Word Example #1
About a year ago, a completely intelligent man killed 14 people in a movie theater. He was dressed as the Joker and was out to to kill more. Thankfully, he was arrested, but I still have no idea what influenced him to do that? Those people had families, and he killed them for his pleasure alone. He was the given the death penalty. Humans are BRUTAL.
Real World Example #2
About the same time something similar happened in Connecticut. A man went into a elementary school with guns. He killed many because of a mental illness. He even shot a total of 20 or so kids who where completely innocent. They had never done anything bad in their lives, but because that man wanted to he took their lives. These are just a few of many examples of how humans can be brutal!
Conclusion
Based on the examples given, I think that humans can be a lot more brutal than beautiful. This is very sad, but it is what this world has come to!
Thank
You!
