What is Health Psychology?
Health psychology is a sub field in psychology that emphasizes psychology's role in establishing & maintaining health; also preventing and treating illness.
The annual salaries are based on a few factors
Starting with a High school diploma
Health psychology or general psychology degree
Master degree up to a PHD
In which the higher your education advancement the better employment opportunity.
Health psychologist engage in many different tasks depending on which specialty area they work in. Many Health Psychologists work directly in clinical setting, helping people individually and in group settings.
Where do health psychologist work?
There are many career opportunities in the field of health psychology.
Health Psychologist typically work in Medical settings, college universities, rehab centers, public health agencies, hospitals, and in private practice.

-Some health care psychologist work in settings that specialize in a particular areas of health like; oncology, pain management, women's health & smoking cessation program

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The beliefs of Health Psychology surfaced back almost to the beginning of Psychology
Stephen Weiss and Joseph Matarazzo with other psychologist created a petition to instate Health Psychology into the American Psychology Association.
Over 600 psychologist professionals signed the petition in 1978
Then Division 38 of the APA, the Health Psychology division was created.
