Michael Jackson the King of Pop
His Career
Since the age of 5 to the day he died (and even a little past that), Michael's career has been very successful; even when its not successful, its still pretty successful.
Michael Jackson's Downfall
The Death of the King of Pop
Michael Jackson died at the age of 51, in a rented mansion in Los Angeles, California
Due to an overdose of Propofol and Benzodiazepine, Michael went under cardiac arrest and could not be resuscitated
Early Years
Micheal Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Idaho
He grew up with 9 siblings (the 10th, twin of Marlon, died within 24 hours of birth
Parents; Joseph and Kathrine Jackson
He lived a strict life, only getting out of it when his father discovered their musical talent

Composed of:
Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael
Their father took the responsibility to manage them, and got them out of the hard working class they had to live
Micheal Jackson has always been insecure about his face/ himself in general

It started with a simple nose job, but soon, his face completely transformed
His surgeries consited of:
Nose Jobs (many, but only admits to two)
Cleft chin implant
Chin implant (get rid of the cleft chin)
Jaw line
Cheek bones
Eye surgeries
... adiction?
The Public
Michael cared very deeply about his reputation with his fans
All Michal Jackson wanted was to make his fans happy, and change the world and its image of music
However, the constant stalking and lack of privacy in his life just lead Michael in a downward spiral of depression, anorexia, bulimia, unhealthy tendencies and drug addiction..
All of which the people worldwide took as another story to occupy themselves with for a weekend or two until the next scandal came out
His personal physicial, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary man slaughter in 2011, for providing Michael with the drugs he asked for, instead of drugs that would keep him safe.
The Public's Reaction...
His death rocked the world. Millions set out candles and shrines in his honour.
Michael Jackson's Impact on the World
His influence on music, fashion, race, dance and love changed everyone. Everyone knows who he is, he is, litterally, unavoidable.
Musicians have been affected by his sound
Dancers have been changed by his iconic Moonwalk and Lean
People have been influenced by his love for music and people, no matter how harsh they were.
Celebrities have been warned by the tradgedy of his image and the horrors of what fame can do to you
His career really took off from its already highpoint with the debut of his song, Thriller
~ Thriller has over 156 million views on
YouTube, and over 70,000 copies sold
Right before his death, Michael Jackson was planning a grueling 50 show tour in London.
Even after death, his movie,

is still being sold and his music is still being downloaded and bough
Since his death Michael has made over 1 billion dollars
What Makes Michael a Tragic Hero
Tragic Flaw
Alll of his main problems stemmed from his
lead to his
drug abuse
which ultimately is what
killed him
A Hero
Michael inspired, and continues to inspire thousands of people all around the world.
He taught them love and acceptance
He gave them someone who understands thier pain
He gave them a reason to believe in equality
He made sure his fans knew that they were loved
Good Deeds
Wrote 'We are the World' with Lionel Richie to raise money in Africa
Equipped a 19 bed unit at Mount Senai New York Medical Center
Donated to Leukemia and Cancer Research
Donated 1.5 million dollars to the Michael Jackson Burn Center
Created a 1.5 million dollars fund for students majoring in preforming arts
He donated all the proceeds from
Man in the Mirror
, to a camp for children who were diagnosed with cancer
Donated tickets to underprivileged children
Proceeds fom most of his shows were donated to charities (Childhelp Usa, American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters)
Established the Heal the World Foundation which sends 6 tons of supplies to Sarajevo, and donates millions of dollars to people in poverty
