Bald Eagles Where Bald Eagles Live Bald eagles live mostly
in NorthAmerica. Bald eagles will usually
live near water. Mainly rivers
filled with salmon. Bald eagles will travel over half of Canada to breed
and they will always return to their mating spot.
Mates Males and females will court at the age of 3
and will make a nest in early
spring. Males and females will do
a dance called the freefall.
The male and the female will connect talons in the air and freefall stuck together for about
a hundred feet or more. Bald eagles will
mate for life. Hunting Bald eagles eat ranges
of food from rodents to fish and birds. Bald eagles will catch their prey by using their razor sharp talons. Bald eagles will sometimes swim to hunt for their fish. Bald eagles will gather by the dozens to hunt for fish during the salmon spawning season. Bald eagles can spot fish in water from hundreds of feet up in the air. Interesting Facts Bald eagles will eat swans, geese, and ducks. The largest eagle nest
is 9 feet wide and 12
