Tomorrow When the War Began
Transcript of Tomorrow When the War Began
When Ellie and her seven friends go on an innocent camping trip before summer vacation ends, they have no idea that their world will soon be turned upside down by the invasion of their country and the imprisonment of everyone they know, including their parents. Upon returning home from their weekend they come back to find their pets on the brink of starvation, their houses completely looted, and their loved ones missing. When the realization of the terrible event hits, Ellie and her friends must make a choice to surrender... or fight back against the invaders who have stolen all they have.
The natural locations surrounded by bush gives the reader a "survival of the fittest" type of impression. The setting causes the plot to revolve mostly around the grit in which the characters had to adapt to live in these conditions.
