There are five levels of fashion designing and they are: level one-junior assistant level two- pattern maker level three- production maker level four- designer level five- head assistant Job Requirements The Job Description Well known designers can earn more than 200,000 dollars a year
those less well-known make much less
Most designers make about 32,000 to 313,000 dollars a year
Designers who work for smaller companies have lower salaries, but more creative independence There's no educational requirements to be a fashion designer but most designers get an associates or bachelors degree in fashion design, fashion merchandising, fine arts, general design, or other related areas of study.
Designers need courses in math because they need to be good with numbers
They also need to be good at sewing Its been estimated that there are more than 30,000 designers and assistant designers in the United States.
Assistant designers have a better chance of getting a job Fashion Designing Fashion designers need an eye for trends and they also need to be able to come up with new ideas
They need to pick able to pick the right cut to make sure it fits just right, and color so it matches the style in there fashion line Fashion designers need a high school diploma
They need skills in: mathematics, business, design, sketching, art history, costume history, literature, pattern making, clothing costumes, and textiles
Designers need to be creative and imaginative Fashion is "a common style especially of dress during a particular time", designer is "one who designs"
