How is math used in baseball? Baseball uses math in many ways. Like for instance in baseball they use percentages often to see how much you get on base, how much you hit, and how much you score. Baseball also uses averages. They show how much they hit or miss at bat. For instance, if they batted ten times and and only hit twice they divide the hits by the total at bats. So the batter’s batting average is .2 . In baseball you also have to keep track of a pitchers pitches. In the MLB pitchers are only allowed so many pitches, than they need a few days leave.

EARNED RUN AVERAGE (ERA)
MATH CONCEPTS USED IN FOOTBALL
POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE NUMBERS
STATS (RATIOS, PERCENTAGES, AND TOTALS)
Again, like baseball, math is used greatly in football. One of the concepts used in football is positive and negative numbers. In football it is good to gain positive yards and bad to lose yards, creating negative yards. That's one way that math is incorporated in football. Another concept is angles. Now, you might be thinking, how are angles in football? Well in order the the wide receivers to catch the ball they need to be open. They use angles to escape their blockers. Also angles are used to tackle. If someone is faster than you and can outrun you, you can use angles to catch them. In football, like many other sports, has statistics. These statistics are ratios, percentages, and totals whether its touchdowns, throws, or tackles. Another way math is incorporated in math is their score system. In football every one touchdown its worth six points (in professional football). So if you score four touchdowns its really worth 24 points instead of four.
How Math Concepts are used in Football
So as you can see from the many examples given math
Is used greatly in the sports such as football, soccer,
baseball, and basket ball. From point systems to things
as little as throwing a ball, math is used in every sport.
Math concepts used in soccer
* Speed and velocity
* Trajectory of ball
