With their great music, looks, these 4 english boys won the hearts of many people all over the world thus creating The British Invasion and Beatlemania
Abbey Road
Abbey Road is one of The Beatles most famous albums and their very last album they made together before they broke up in 1970. Abbey Road sold over 5 million copies by the end of the year.
Lennon's death in 1980 shocked the entire world. Lennon was shot several times by David Chapman outside his apartment building. Chapman served a sentence of 20 years to life. John Lennon left his mark on the world with his incredible music and love for humanity and peace.
John Winston Lennon was born October 9th of 1940 in Liverpool, England. He displayed such outspokenness and brought beautiful music and intelligence to the bands music. He was so called the "smart beatle"
James Paul McCartney was born June 18, 1942 in Liverpool, England. He is a Musician, singer, songwriter, music and film producer, and a businessman. Paul was so called the "cute beatle"
The Beatles evolved from Lennon's first band, the Quarrymen. Lennon first met Paul McCartney at the Quarrymen's second performance, in Peter's Church garden fête, the Beatles enjoyed increasing popularity in Liverpool, particularly in Merseyside, with the growing Merseybeat movement. In November, during one of the group's frequent appearances at the Cavern Club, they encountered Brian Epstein, a local record store owner and music columnist. He later recalled, "I immediately liked what I heard. They were fresh, and they were honest, and they had what I thought was a sort of presence ... a star quality. Epstein courted the band over the next couple of months, and they appointed him manager in January 1962. Tragedy greeted them upon their return to Germany in April, when Sutcliffe's death the previous day from what would later be determined a brain haemorrhage. The following month, George Martin signed the Beatles to EMI's Parlophone label.
As of 2013, McCartney remains one of the world's top draws. In June 2012, McCartney closed Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Concert performing "Let It Be" and "Live and Let Die". He closed the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London on 27 July, singing "The End" and "Hey Jude" He is still the successful person he was when he was still in The Beatles.
John lennon 's solo carrer
john lennon still wrote songs like ''Give Peace a chance '' and "Imagine" after his marrige to Yoko Ono he decided to change his name to John Ono Lennon,he stopped making music in 1975 to raise his son Sean but made songs again in the 1980's Making the new album Double fantasy
Ringo "Starr" Starkey was born on July 7th of 1940 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. He has 5 children in total,.
Ringo went solo and he has released albums. His last album "Ringo 2012" was released in January 30th 2012 and sold over 6,348 as of February. His son, Zak Starkey, is a drummer like his father in a band called Oasis.
George Harrison was born in February 25th 1943 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Harrison was the youngest beatle. Know as the "Baby Beatle" in the band. He was also the youngest of 4 children at home.
Like the rest of The Beatles, Harrison went solo after the band broke up. He had 15 solo top 40 hits from 1970-1988.
On 30 December 1999, Michael Abram broke into the Harrisons' home and attacked Harrison with a kitchen knife, puncturing a lung and causing head injuries. Harrison was hospitalized with more than forty stab wounds. In May 2001 Harrison had undergone an operation to remove a cancerous growth from one of his lungs, In July, he was being treated for a brain tumour at a clinic in Switzerland. Harrison died on 29 November 2001, aged 58, lung cancer.
