FBLA was established 1940 in Johnson City, Tennesse with the founder, Hamden L. Forkner
Formed to develop competent, aggressive business leadership, strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work, and create more interest and understanding of American business
The offcial colors of FBLA are blue and

The three words that Forkner put onto the crest of FBLA were SERVICE, EDUCATION, and PROGRESS
What FBLA Stands For
Who wants to make their own money? Who loves the feel and vibe of any city? Who wants a career in business and not just a job?
Well with FBLA you will learn and obtain the skills needed for you to be successful and confident within the business world.
This organization offers you team building skills that will be super important to have as you go through life. I mean who wouldn't have great team building skills coming from an organiziton with over 220,000 people.
You will learn how to dress profressionally and appropriately for anything business.
You will be able to connect with your peers who you have never met and people all over the state.

Since FBLA prepares young men and women for business leadership, they give students positions of leadership to show their responsibility and confidence within their business choices by giving them titles such as President, CEO (chief executive officer), secretary, treasurer, and so many more
The current President and CEO of FBLA is Jean Buckley

As you know FBLA was started in Johnson City, Tennesse
However, as FBLA grew they had to find a better more populated place for its National headqaurters so they moved to Reston, Virginia
