Stereotypes in Media
What is Stereotyping?
noun- a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.
What is Racism?
noun- the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race
Stereotypes are all over t.v. Some people don't notice because it's funny or humorous.

But it gets embedded in our minds and as we grow up we learn to think that way.
Stereotypes about African-Americans
All black people love chicken, grape juice, and watermelon.
All black people are good athletes. They can play basketball and run fast.
Black males are usually trouble making hoodlums and did not complete High school.
Can't swim.
Stereotypes about Hispanics
They all hopped the border and are all illegal.
The mothers are all maids.
They live with a bunch of family members in one house...extended family included.

From a young age girls and guys know what they are supposed to do and how they're supposed to act.
Stereo Types about Asians.
All Asians are smart. They get good grades and are good with computers.
They eat dogs and cats in place of chicken.
They are horrible drivers.
Usually play the piano or violin.

In Conclusion
We should all learn to avoid stereotypes. They're stupid and the sooner we learn how to stop using them the sooner we can unite and come together as a country.
All atheist worship the devil
They are evil, despicable human beings.
