HOW DOES SOUTH PARK SELL AN IDEA EFFECTIVELY? SOUTH PARK “America's best source of rapid-fire satire for a decade now, blasting hypocrites left and right and giving the final (and usually, the dirtiest) word on Elian Gonzalez, Terry Schiavo and numerous celebrity flip-outs. But the show's authentic, filthy heart is the four foul-mouthed, truth-telling Colorado boys at its center.”

They also parody certain situations and recent things in the media to sell an idea while also making it humorous. the main idea that they’re trying to get across is how many children and teenagers play video games most of the time instead of doing something more meaningful “You can just hang around outside in the sun all day, tossing a ball around, or you can sit at your computer and do something that matters!” -Eric Cartman the main idea they’re trying to get across is the comparison of marijuana and fast food. “Look I’m starting to feel kinda stupid, can I please get high?” -Randy Marsh the main idea they’re trying to get across is consumerism and it’s effects on the economy. “Just how far will the economy fall? We asked our economic reporter, Dan banks, for his assessment.” -News Reporter THE END “Gentlemen, we are dealing with someone here who . . . has absolutely no life.” -President of Blizzard Entertainment Despite being one of the top rated TV shows, there is some controversy about the shows language, crude humour, and indecency. Many viewers find the show hilarious while others find the show vulgar and obscene. Parodies video gamers and their stereotypes Compares the selling of fast food and marijuana. The episode is about how legislating lifestyle choices are inadequate An episode about consumerism concerning the economy and the recent recession.
