April 17, 2014
Houston Pets Alive! meets with City Council Member Robert Gallegos (District I). The animal crisis in Houston is discussed, as well as the HPA! mission statement. In addition, specific methods are introduced to help make Houston a no-kill community.
June 9, 2014
HPA! has its first meeting with the Harris County Public Health I&E Team to discuss the animal crisis in Houston. Again, HPA! presents specific methods on how to make Houston a no-kill community.
July 19, 2014
Houston Pets Alive! delivers 1800 pounds of canned Pedigree dog food to the Harris County Animal Shelter.
August 2, 2014
Houston Pets Alive! has its first adoption event at the AMLI River Oaks, in Houston. Holly is the first dog to be adopted.

Houston Pets Alive! receives the 501c3 charitable organization status.
May 28, 2014
Houston Pets Alive! has its first recruitment event at Lucky's Pub in Downtown Houston.
