pH Indicator : Part 1
7.03 pH Lab

PART 1: TRIAL 1: TRIAL 2: TRIAL 3:
_______________________________________
Initial volume of Na OH: 50 50 50
_______________________________________
Volume of HCI: 25 30 35
_______________________________________
Volume of Na OH (end): 23 26 29
Calculations
1) 50 mL NaOH added to the flask (23 mL left). Overall, 25 mL of NaOH was added too and 26 mL left.

2) pH=-log([H+])
50=-log([H+])
[H+]=10^(-0.50)
[H+]=.5
Conclusion
1)The HCl is the acid and the NaOH id the base. When you increase the amount you will find that the reaction becomes less acidic. Which means it rises on the graph. It neutralizes when the pH level is 25. And increases as you add NaOH.

2) It increases the rate of the reaction.
