Is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen with the formula NH3
At ambient temperature it is a colorless gas, however it is very soluble in water and is usually sold as basic liquid.
It evaporates easily and has a pungent, unpleasant odor.
It is readily biodegradable, because plants absorb it easily and it is an important nutrient for living organisms.

Its name derives from the Greek
"ammōniakón" which means
"belonging to Amon", because this
gas used to be extracted
from the salt deposits in the temple
of the Egyptian god

There are 4 methods for obtaining hydrogen
Steam reforming of light hydrocarbons such as methane or naphtha.

Partial oxidation of heavy hydrocarbons such as fuel oil.
There are numerous methods in the synthesis of ammonia present, but they all derive from the Haber-Bosch Process.

Al ser una sustancia de difícil transporte, la mayor parte del amoniaco es consumido en el pais donde se produce. China es el mayor productor y consumidor de amoniaco del mundo.
PETROCHEMICAL VALUE CHAIN
El crecimiento de la demanda histórica de amoniaco ha sido de aproximadamente 2% anual, sin embargo se prevee que esta sea del 3% para los próximos 5 años. Se espera que el consumo para propositos industriales continúe recuperándose tras la recesión económica.
