Axis forces surrender to allies in Africa 1943.
July 10, 1943 US and British forces land on Sicily.
June 6, 1944 the allies land on Normandy.("World War II Timeline.")
Soviets launch massive offense against Germans, pushing them back.
Allied troops liberate France.
April 16, 1945 Soviet troops siege Berlin.
April 30, 1945 Hitler commits suicide.
May 9, 1945 Germany surrenders.

September 1, 1939 Germany invades Poland initiating World War II in Europe.("World War II Timeline.")
Because of Germany's invasion of Poland Great Britain and France declare war on Germany.
The The Soviet Union invades Poland from the east September 27–29, 1939 Warsaw surrenders.
Italy and Germany invade France.
Nazi Germany and Axis partners invade the Soviet Union.
Japan bombs Pearl Harbor, the United States joins the war.
1942 Soviet troops push the Germans out of Stalingrad.
Pre World War II
Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy sign a treaty of cooperation on October 25, 1936.

Germany takes Austria.
France and Britain guarantee the safety of Poland.
Post World War II
Germany loses alot of money and land.
Russia gains most of eastern Europe.
Germany is split in to two, east side and west side.

Several concentration camps discovered.
Over 60 million people killed.
