History of Telescopes
The Hadley's reflector was the first telescope that actually worked. It was made in 1721 and observed visible light. The Hershel's 20 ft light reflector observed visible light in 1789. The Leviathan of Parsonstown was the 72 inch
Telescopes use concave mirrors so that they can make far away objects seem closer so that scientists can study stars and planets without having to go to space.
