Was stronger and cheaper opposed to a bronze sword they used before. The alphabet helped with communication and especially written language Now boats could steer itself Turns hard earth and allowed farmers to expand land Provided lifting for irrigation and grain milling Spinning Wheel 500 BCE Easier way to produce yarn and thread for clothing Wood Pole Lathe 300 BCE This invention allowed workers to make novel items of wood including buckets and bowls Iron Cannons 220 BCE Used in wars because it was very accurate when used. Stone Cannons Balls 220 BCE Used because it was very destructive in war when fired.
