About the Author
Farah Ahmedi is a 17 year-old girl from Afghanistan. She grew up in Chigaco. When she moved to Chicago, she told her incredible story about her struggles and achievements from escaping Afghanistan. She also published a story called "The Other Side of the Sky." Farah is an idol for many kids and adults, and is very inspirational.
Summary
"Escape from Afghanistan" is about a young girl named Farah and her family who suffers when they lived in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a very dangerous place to live. One day Farah and her family got a letter from her mother's cousin telling them instructions on how to get to Pakistan, which is where their cousin lives. Farah and her mother went on a journey to escape Afghanistan. Although they went through some obsticals they were determined to get to Pakistan, even if they had to cross the border.

In our opinion we believe that this biography tells people that there is always a way to accomplish goals. Don't give up when you struggle, or when it gets hard.Even though Farah struggled and nearly died, she didn't quit to get to Pakistan.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Farah goes through some rough experiences. She loses her leg during a landmine and her mother suffers with asthma. So it's tougher for them to travel. At the end of the biography, in Farah's own words on how she felt she states,"We've been in prison for thirty years and have been realeased!" They were relieved and excited to start a new journey in America.
