Lacrosse
Rules
Each team must keep at least four players, this includes the goalie, in its defensive half of the field and three in its offensive half. Three players (midfielders) may play wherever they desire on the field.
Collegiate games are 60 minutes long, with four 15-minute quarters. High school games are 48 minutes long, with 12-minute quarters.Youth games are 48 minutes long with 12 minute quarters.
Each team is given a 2 minute break between first and second quarter, also a 2 minute break between third and fourth quarter. Halftime is a 10 minute break between the second and third quarter for the players to refresh themselves with a healthy snack.
The game is overseen by a referee who enforces these rules.

Famous players of lacrosse:

Jim Brown: Most famous for football but had a passion for lacrosse. his football skills helped him in lacrosse because his speed, and muscle strength allowed him to dominate on the lacrosse field.
Gary Gait: The face of the sport during his time. Wherever he played he won. He’s known for his small size and being able to still be as good as he was as a small built man. As he grew older he increased in size and now coaches womens lacrosse.
Jimmy Lewis: Credited by many as one of the guys who made smaller, box style heads more popular in the US college game. He was a 3x all American at navy and won many championships in his day.

Training:

Strength and conditioning is very important while you’re in the process of training for lacrosse. Often men bench press to increase their arm strength so they can throw the ball a greater distance. Squats increase speed in running. A healthy diet needs to be maintained while training. It is important to eat a lot of proteins and drink water to stay hydrated.
Politics:

Like any other professional sport there is always a player who attracts the media with a criminal offense. At the University of Virginia in Charlottesville a star lacrosse player is convicted for murder of his on/off girlfriend. At 11:15 pm college student and lacrosse player George Hugeuly kicked a hole through Yeardley Love’s bedroom door. On May 3, 2010 he was involved in an altercation with Yeardley Love and during the course of altercation he repeatedly hit the wall with her head. Yeardley was pronounced dead at the scene. George was charged with first degree murder charges and added charges include felony murder, robbery, and grand larceny (because Hugeuly took Love’s computer).

In the future lacrosse will be more popular in some areas around the country. The number of organizations and players will increase over time. Former lacrosse players will start their own teams to keep the lacrosse industry growing. Their kids have a first row seat to the training process of being a great lacrosse layer.

The sport of lacrosse, the oldest-known athletic game played in North America, was originally not a sport at all. Called "baggataway" by the North American Indian tribes. The original equipment used by Indian tribes was quite simple. The lacrosse stick was a wooden shaft, curved at the top, with leather netting woven into the curved section and used for catching and throwing a ball. the ball was a rock wrapped in animal skin. Lacrosse, as we know it today, began to be played around 1840, in eastern Canada. The sport was so popular that, in 1867, the Canadian Parliament declared lacrosse (not hockey) as Canada's national game. Many modern lacrosse experts argue that lacrosse is "the oldest and fastest game on two feet."
