Kiefer Anslem Neo-expressionism emerged in the 1970's and was the main
art movement throughout the 1980's. The art may contain recognizable objects, such as bodies, furnature and other common objects. Neo-expressionism is often described as brutal because of its frequent usage of blood and gore. Neo-expressionism was inspired by german espressionist paintings.
