Internet search for additional commentary on Australia’s 2012 Olympic games medal results.

According to Professionals Olympic Sports are under funded by 100 million.

HR Planning

Every Year we spend 170 million on Sports.
Direct federal funding of 589 million.

Great Britain spent $1.2 billion pounds over 4 years,
France & Germany spent the same & got different results!
China won 51 gold medals - 226 million
US won 36 - 220 million

We won 16 gold medals in Sydney & 7 in London!

HR Planning
China put together "Project 119" and came out with the most gold medals and 2nd over all.
Yachting Australia put a 'Gold Medal Plan' which focused on generating government & commercial funding a well as developing talent from a youth to olympic level. - Received most gold medals than any other sport.
Sailing team hired 2 former winners who helped create training programs in order to achieve success
Kayaking achieved success due to effective mentoring from previous successful competitors, coaches & supportive surf clubs.
