Early Life
Mother Teresa (her real name: Anjeze Gonxhe Bojaxhiu) was born on 26th August 1910. Her birthplace is Skopji which is now the republic of macedonia. Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic and was very religious. When she was 17 she made the decision to become a nun. She applied to the Loreto order of nuns and learned English In Ireland.
The Charity
Mother Teresa went after being granted special permission to see the slums in Calcutta. She found small children and began to teach them. She had no classroom, no desk, no chalk she picked up a stick and wrote on the dirt, that was their lessons. Then in 1946 she petitioned to find her own order of nuns and created a congregation with then made a Missionaries Charity on October 7th 1950. Its mission was to care for the homeless, crippled, blind, unloved and a burden to society.

Mother Teresa won many awards such as: The Nobal Peace Prize (1979), Bharat Ratna (1980), Presidential Medal of freedom (1985),
Padma Shri (1962) and
Order of Merit (1983)
More Charities
The charity grew rapidly by 1997 it had grown to more than 4,000 sisters running orphanages, AIDS, hospices and charity centers worldwide caring for everyone. Mother Teresa opened many more charities such as the 'Nirmal Hriday' which brought medical attention for people to die peacefully. Performing peoples religious rites. She also opened a home for those suffering from Hansen's disease and proved all the bandages and food.
Mother Teresa inspired everyone. She has been in museums, named after charities and having roads and structures named after her. She created a huge difference in society. She had nothing herself but helped millions of people whoever they were. She made a huge change in the world to show people that no matter who they are we should help each other. She helped the poor to be strong and to keep hope. She helped make the world a better place and she is an inspiration to everyone.

Mother Teresa decided to move to India in 1929 where she spent the rest of her life. She started out just as one women, with no money and no supplies, just herself trying to help millions of the poor, starving, dying that lived on the streets of India during Calcutta's big violence. Despite others misgiving she was confident that God would provide for her.
