ICA-OSGeo Labs (as on July 2013)
Establishing research and training opportunities in open source GIS

Provide worldwide learning platform

Build teaching and research infrastructure worldwide

Key aims
Open Geospatial Labs are being established worldwide to scale up research and teaching in this theme globally (ICA-OSGeo MoU)‏

Establishing research and training opportunities

Establish over 100 research labs in universities across the world by 2015.

We want to expand this to build capacity building programs, train the trainer programs etc worldwide.

Collaborate with and provide support for educational programs like gvSIG Batovi, to help train school teachers in GIS.
