Double click anywhere & add an idea Strategies Montgomery bus boycott Africans Americans in Montgomery boycotted busses and didnt ride them.The boycott proved extremely effective, with enough riders lost to the city transit system to cause serious economic distress. People Marin Luther King Jr Martin Luther King Jr was the leader of the civil right Movemenent. His main legacy was to secure progress on civil rights in the United States. He ended segregation and racial discrimination between backs and whites. Organizations KKK KKK used violence to scared and make people fear about them. They wanted to stop civil right movement. Freedom Rides Freedom Rides started riding various forms of public transportation in the south to challamge the law. They used violence like setting busses on fired. thurgood Marshall Thurgood Marshall was an American jurist and the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States. Rosa Parks Rosa parrk was a women that was arrested in Alabama because she refused to gave her seat to a white man in a public bus. Stokely Carmichael He rose to prominence first as a leader of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee March on Washington Is was on August 28, 1963. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his historic "I Have a Dream" speech advocating racial harmony at the Lincoln Memorial during the march. Civil Disobedience Martin luther king Jr used civil disobedience because it is an active refusal to obey certain laws, demands and commands of a government, or of an occupying international power, using no form of violence. Black Panthers It was an African-American revolutionary left-wing organization working for the self-defense for black people. SCLC The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) is an American civil rights organization that was in favor of civil rights movement.
NAACP The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a civil rights organization for ethnic minorities in the united States. Events
Civil Rights Act 1964 It ended racial segregation in schools, at the workplace and by facilities that served the general public. Voting Rights Act 1965 It let all american Citizens the right to vote.It didnt matter the race or the genre. Little Rock Nine Little Rock Nine were a group of African-American students who were enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Brown Vs Board of education, 1954 It decalred schools for blacks and whites as unconstitutional
