Transcript of Competitive Show Jumping

Competitive Show Jumping There are many people who ride horses, and last year it was estimated that around 30 million people rode a horse.
That's a lot of people, and it just shows you how popular horses are. Show jumping is one of many styles of riding. There is dressage, side-saddle, barrel racing, calf roping, vaulting, and the races with the horses on a track. Yes, this is me! In show jumping, the rider has to memorize the course and then go out and perform it. Sometimes you only have five minutes to warm up your horse, which can be a really bad thing if the horse is full of energy. But if you work hard, you can be rewarded by doing well. Over all, competitive show jumping is really fun, even when you don't bring home a ribbon.
